3rd Annual Blazing Forward Luncheon

  • Precinct 4 Forward 1111 Fannin Street Houston, TX, 77002 United States (map)

Commissioner Lesley Briones celebrated three years of Precinct4Forward, the nonprofit arm of Harris County Precinct 4, at the annual Blazing Forward Luncheon. Precinct4Forward has launched 14 programs that have served more than 26,000 people in Harris County.

Precinct4Forward, a nonprofit charitable organization created by Commissioner Briones in 2023, amplifies the impact of Harris County Precinct 4’s governmental work to advance opportunity and justice for the 1.25 million residents of Precinct 4.

Many of the proceeds from this event will support Precinct4Forward’s numerous programs serving the community, including a nine-week free summer camp, which includes free, all-day childcare and science, technology, arts, engineering, and mathematics programming taught by state-certified teachers for students aged 5 – 13.

“While we work on systems-level policy change.... there are immediate actions that we can do now,” said Commissioner Lesley Briones. “That mom that wants to desperately go back to work but can’t afford it, but for you, she will be able to.”
