Emerging Leaders Lab

Free youth development program that combines leadership workshops, civic engagement and job shadowing for Precinct 4’s next generation leaders. See below for more information.

Program Overview

Harris County Precinct 4 and Precinct4Forward have teamed up to offer FREE two-week youth development programs this summer. The Emerging Leaders Lab combines engaging workshops in professionalism, leadership, and civic engagement with corporate job shadowing to provide skills and exposure to young people, preparing them to be our next generation of leaders.

Students who live or attend school in Precinct 4 and will be entering their junior year of high school in fall 2025 are eligible to participate. We’re looking for young people who are curious, passionate, and committed to participate fully in the program offerings. It’s a great opportunity for those who may not have access to other enriching summer activities or corporate work exposure.

After the incredible success of last year’s Lab cohort, we are expanding the program and adding an additional site to increase accessibility across Precinct 4.
