Thanksgiving Meal Drive

Our first annual Thanksgiving Meal Drive was a huge success!

Thank you so much to all of our volunteers and to all the organizations who donated.

Precinct4Forward distributed 72 meals to food insecure families and individuals living in Alief and Sharpstown. Over 250 people living in Harris County will have a brighter holiday season this year. We partnered with West Houston Assistance Ministries, ICAIDTX, B2Z Engineering, Walmart, HOPE Clinic, Thomas Street Health Center and Alief ISD to distribute Thanksgiving meals to families and individuals ahead of the holidays.

The idea for first annual Thanksgiving meal drive started when several local businesses and individuals contacted Precinct4Forward to let us know that there is a lot of need in the community this year due to rising food prices.

We reached out to partners and received a huge outpouring of support and assistance. We were able to box hearty meals to distribute to people in need. Most meal boxes included frozen turkey, sides, fresh vegetables and dessert items. However, we also distributed a dozen vegetarian boxes for people with different dietary needs.

We were blown away by the all of the support and donations from the community, and we look forward to our second-annual Thanksgiving meal event next year!
